Hi there! It’s Judy here with a fun and easy DIY project created for Clear Scraps.
This is a cake topper with a graduation theme using the Mini Shaker Graduation Hat.
I started by assembling the shaker.
The shaker includes 1-chip back, 3 chip forms, 1 acrylic divider.
Deciding to go with a gold and black color scheme, I painted the back piece gold.
Using a black sparkle pen I then added color to the 3 chip forms.
Glue to chip forms together.
Adhere to the back
Remove the protective film from one side of the acrylic piece and adhere to the 3rd chip form.
This will be the top of the shaker.
Add shaker elements to the back piece. I used silver chunky star glitter.
Remove the protective film from the other side of the acrylic piece.
Apply to the back to complete the shaker.
Cut 4 circles out of heavyweight glitter card stock.
2 black pieces measuring approximately 6 1/2 inches.
1 gold circle measuring 6 inches.
A black piece at 5 inches.
Adhere 3 of the circles together with foam tape alternating a large black circle, gold, black. The last large black piece is adhered to the backside fro a finished look.
I die cut number for the year and Congratulations out of gold card stock.
Add the Congratulations die cut to the circle piece.
The number die cuts are added nest.
Adhere the shaker.
Die cut some stars for embellishment.
Add the stars to complete
Thanks for taking a look at my project. I hope I’ve provided some inspiration for a little different way to use a shaker.
I’ll be back with another project soon! Until then be sure and check out more Clear Scraps inspiration by following on social media.
