Grad Cake Topper

Hi there! It’s Judy here with a fun and easy DIY project created for Clear Scraps.

This is a cake topper with a graduation theme using the Mini Shaker Graduation Hat.

I started by assembling the shaker.

The shaker includes 1-chip back, 3 chip forms, 1 acrylic divider.

Deciding to go with a gold and black color scheme, I painted the back piece gold.

Using a black sparkle pen I then added color to the 3 chip forms.

Glue to chip forms together.

Adhere to the back

Remove the protective film from one side of the acrylic piece and adhere to the 3rd chip form.

This will be the top of the shaker.

Add shaker elements to the back piece. I used silver chunky star glitter.

Remove the protective film from the other side of the acrylic piece.

Apply to the back to complete the shaker.

Cut 4 circles out of heavyweight glitter card stock.

2 black pieces measuring approximately 6 1/2 inches.

1 gold circle measuring 6 inches.

A black piece at 5 inches.

Adhere 3 of the circles together with foam tape alternating a large black circle, gold, black. The last large black piece is adhered to the backside fro a finished look.

I die cut number for the year and Congratulations out of gold card stock.

Add the Congratulations die cut to the circle piece.

The number die cuts are added nest.

Adhere the shaker.

Die cut some stars for embellishment.

Add the stars to complete

Thanks for taking a look at my project. I hope I’ve provided some inspiration for a little different way to use a shaker.

I’ll be back with another project soon! Until then be sure and check out more Clear Scraps inspiration by following on social media.

I've Fallen for You Card

Hi there, today I'm sharing a cute “I’ve Fallen for You” card!

Two stamp sets from Pajama Crafter Stamps are combined for this card.

The cute little beaver, logs and sentiment are from Lumberjack Stamps. And, I used the tree stamp from Sliding By Stamps.

I stamped the beaver, colored with pencil colors and fussy cut.

The logs were stamped multiple times by doing some masking and turning in several directions. I colored with pencils, fussy cut and trimmed down to fit the left side of the card.

My background is done with some stenciling, inking and pencil coloring. The trees were stamped several times onto the background with some masking. I colored them with pencils.

The sentiment was stamped and I popped the beaver with some foam tape.

The versatility of stamps from Pajama Crafter Stamps makes it easy to combine sets for creating something unique. I’m so happy with the outcome of my “I’ve Fallen for You” card and hope I provided some inspiration for you.

You Are Beautiful Shadow Box

Hi there! Sharing my latest project created for Clear Scraps!

I am working with the 8 x 11 Shadow Box. For decorative pieces I am using papers, die cuts and washi stickers from the Stamperia Masquerade Collection.

The first step I took was to paint all 9 pieces of the box with Antique Parchment acrylic paint.

Assemble the box and adhere with glue. I used Gorilla Wood Glue.

I added gold paint to the box dividers.

To give the outside of the box an antique look, I rubbed gold paint on all 4 side pieces.

2 papers were chosen to add the the inside back of the box

Cut papers to fit in each of the 6 sections of the box and adhere. I glued in the 2 smaller divider pieces in 2 of the sections.

Pull out decorative element pieces. These include die cuts, washi stickers, some of which I adhered to sturdy card stock and fussy cut, a small string  of gold beads and flowers.

Begin adding elements to each section,

Closeups of each section

I really love the way this shadow box cam out and appreciate you taking the time to check it out!
