Tina's Beauties
Happy Friday, quilters! Spring is blowing in with a fury here this week. Hopefully we won't blow away!
All the quilts I have to show you this week are from Tina C. She usually sends 2 completed quilts every month or two. You all know that completed quilts are my favorite kind!
This brown toned sampler is my favorite in a while. I love the interesting blocks and the wavy quilting. The fabrics are wonderfully textured crossweaves and linen-like.
I've been busy this week. My wonderful local quilt shop is closing :( and Loretta has donated dozens of bolts of fabric to CiL. I've been organizing everything and packaging some to ship to Louise and some of the more kiddy stuff to ship to Cynthia at Many Hands Many Hearts.
I am really going to miss my LQS! She had great prices and selection just ten minutes from me, and a great eye for color. Loretta helped choose the fabrics for many of my projects.
The icing on the cake is Joann's closing at the same time. I prefer to buy my fabrics in person so I can see and feel them, but I guess I'm grateful that buying online is an option. Anyway, with all the fabrics Loretta donated, CiL is all set for a while.
Thank you, Tina and Loretta! Hug your LQS owner if you have a good one.

Fabulous Shirtings
Happy Friday, quilters! I have more of Christy's shirtings quilts to show off this week. I absolutely love this first one with its flag-ish pattern.
Linda quilted this one on her long arm and did a wonderful job. Up close the blocks don't align perfectly, but I think it adds to the overall rustic-ness.
Next, this zigzag quilt which reminds me of Charlie Brown.
This one was also quilted by Linda and looks wonderfully cozy. (I apologize for the crappy indoor pictures. I needed to photograph them so I could take them to the hospital, and the weather was bad.)
These last two were quilted by me with just a stipple. This one reminds me of a zipper pattern.
I had some great patriotic options for binding in my scrap drawer.
It was a little hard for me to spot the block in this one. It appears to be assembled in columns.
It's amazing how much can be made with just recycled shirts. And they look sooo cozy.
Thank you, Christy and Linda!

Denise & Julie's Bright Quilts
Happy Friday, quilters! I've got some beautiful, bright quilts this week. It's almost enough to make you feel Spring-y. All four quilts in this post were quilted by Sundance Quilting.
These first two tops were made by Denise. I love her rainbow color schemes.
The rainbow colors against the gray in this quilt pop especially well, I think.
Next up, two tops made by Julie W. These are really great, bright, scrappy quilts, and so cozy.
Sundance Quilting has been great to work with and gives us a charity discount. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a commercial long-armer.
Both of Julie's quilts have really simple scrap blocks, but they are so effective when arranged together.
Thank you, ladies! Your cheerful quilts will be perfect to comfort a grieving family.
We've had some wild weather and power outages this week. I walked into the refrigerator in the dark and got a nice bruise on my cheek. I hope you're all safe and warm!

Heather's Quilts
Happy Friday quilters! I hope you're all having a good week. The cold snap last week with 15 degrees overnight has been followed by lovely 80 degree afternoons here in Texas.
This week's quilts all came in from Heather a while back. This one arrived basted and partially quoted. The backing had folds in it and some stains, but I really liked the top, so I ended up picking the quilting & starting over with a new back.
This one was a top and a little bit smaller. About 50 in square. I quilted it up with a simple stipple.
This has some very cool fabrics and will make a great kid quilt.
Next was a simple top with patriotic colors, good for a man. We always need more masculine quilts.
Doris did the quilting on this one. Thank you ladies!
Here's a snuggly Fudge to round off your week.

Beth, Holly, Linda
It's a lovely simple pattern, but so striking!
Next, Holly made two tops in the GE Quilts "Stella" pattern with beautiful batik fabrics.
Thanks, ladies!
