I joke but I did process that Padmund is probably JUST like Caleb was as a child. Clever and eager kid who is so excited to learn magic to be helpful to his community but also sheltered in certain ways that make him a little naive and, in some respects, easily influenced. He comes from a happy family! He’s genuinely affected by what people say about him! He wants to be useful! He doesn’t want to hurt anyone!

Anyway, if you need me I’ll be crying about it.
