The beautiful people you see in the photos (faces blurred for their privacy) are our aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandfather. They’ve all been displaced from their homes in Khartoum over a year ago. They’re now all living in a makeshift home in the desert, waiting for the day to return home.

My cousins haven’t been to class in a year. My uncles have lost their jobs. All their belongings were stolen. They live in a home with no windows or air conditioning in a climate that can reach 50 ℃ (122F).

image

(where they store all their belongings)

Your funds will go to:

- Getting them passports

- Getting them visas to Egypt/KSA

- Travel funds

- Supporting them with food, water, transport, medicine, and any other needs while we get their travel plans sorted

If you can spare even £1 that would be massive help. If not, sharing is just as helpful <3

here is another verified fundraiser a friend of mine is has asked me to share:

her childhood friend has been displaced to rafah with his family, while his sister (with her one year old twins) is trapped in the north. they haven’t heard from them for weeks. he has already lost a nephew (in nuseirat in the southern “safe zone”), and his father is injured and in need of medical care. as with everyone else in gaza, they have lost everything and require funds to evacuate, get help, and start a new life.

please donate if you can:

if it led me to sujood then it wasn’t a waste. God bless the lost loves and lost friendships, may everyone i’ve known, even for a moment, be protected and guided always. i forgive you and hope i am forgiven. i’ll remember you making this heavy earth just a little bit lighter. i hope you remember me the same way.

in october, my friend (a med student from gaza)’s cousin hussein was injured near his home in khan younes (then designated a ‘safe zone’ by the idf). a rod from a nearby airstrike pierced his skull. when i talked to her i remember she told me that cerebrospinal fluid was leaking from his nose and they were trying to stabilize him at nasser hospital in gaza, which was not equipped for the kind of surgery he needed.

now it has been over five months and his condition has worsened, and his brother has also been injured. they are raising money to try and get their family out of gaza for treatment. the passage alone costs 5000$ per person, without the additional cost of treatment.

this is a verified fundraiser, so please donate if you can.

There is supposed to be a place where no one can reach you. Traditionally, the home, but now we settle for the ocean, the airplane, the summit of a mountain, the middle of a lake, the shower, the womb, the grave

my family and i became refugees overnight.

im a young black woman trying to restart my life in the UAE with my family and we can use all the help we can get.

please consider helping a sudanese family that lost everything in the war.

thank you <3

Hey y’all I rly wanna be able to fly my parents here this month. My sister and I are barely making enough for ourselves let alone our parents + relatives who are all displaced and unemployed now.

We’re blessed to be able to leave Sudan and make a real living but we can’t forget the people back home whose entire lives have come to a halt.

Your donations aren’t just helping me but around 15 other people who are struggling back home in Sudan.

Every little things helps 🩷

My parents’ visas are finally out!

But the plane tickets are almost twice as much as what I budgeted for…we wanna get them out of Sudan as soon as possible before things get worse

Would really appreciate the extra help these days 🩵
