I’m a big fan of when Jake and Princess Bubblegum act like Finn’s divorced parents who are trying their best to figure out how to co-parent their troubled teenager
Every now and then I get like ‘5 scary camping encounters’ or 'child’s drawings with terrifying backstories’ videos in my youtube recommendations and every now and then I watch a few, and the comments and videos themselves really reveal that many Americans are deeply paranoid and believe the correct response to any aberrant behaviour other people exhibit is pulling a gun. Like, there’s a clip of a British guy camping and a homeless dude comes up, asks if the guy can spare any booze and food, they chat a bit then part ways and people are so afraid, think him so foolish for showing any kindness to a stranger instead of bracing for a knife to the back. Sometimes people are just awkward or struggling or just fucking with you, I don’t want to live in a world where such behaviours are met with a bullet. Thankfully I am not American!
Okay in a specific video some brit guy is camping in his van, hears people walking around it at 3 AM, yells at em and they drive off. Come morning, there’s a zip tie on the main door out of the van, though nothing on the other doors (since zip ties wouldn’t have done anything on the others, since there aren’t two handles close enough together). The tied handles also have an openable window directly above them, so even if that was the only way out the guy could still access and remove the tie with any cutting tool.
If you’re sane, you recognise some dickheads decided to fuck with this guy, in an annoying but ultimately harmless way. The yank making the compilation video says the only reasonable explanation was they were trying to seal the van so they could steal diesel from the tank. Absurdly paranoid people.
