Another trope that should be retired is being self aware. I mean, I get it, that's the joke, but you have to look at the camera all the time?

Although, to be fair, sometimes when I hear something really stupid I do the same.

Commented on HBO 'Harry Potter' Show Black Severus Snape Casting

Even discounting the obvious ragebait/culture war nonsense for people to get mad about, Alan Rickman's a hard act to beat. I don't envy anyone who has to go up against his performance. He basically codified the character.

I'm surprised they didn't make Hermione black, considering Rowling literally said 'I always thought she was black' It'd seem like the obvious choice.

Either way, topping the old Snape actor's going to be tough. (Even if leagues of fanfiction has gone into graphic colored pencil-drawing detail about how you could lmao)

I heavily disagree.

4chan was just a drop in the bucket. The real people who voted for Trump were Ezekial from Alabama and Marge the truck driver who are still using dial up internet, and learning about the political landscape from what they see on what few channels they can afford.

Hillary's campaign team poured SO much money into going after younger, online voters who were already most likely going to vote for her… or were the people who she was attacking who'd NEVER vote for her. Speaking of, that's what made it to these comparatively offline American's TV screens and facebook feeds. Being called deplorables, mine supervisors and workers seeing her tell them she'll get rid of their jobs with a smile on her face, and presenting herself as the status quo candidate during a time when people absolutely loathed the status quo.

That wasn't the only factor though, if it was it'd just be Obama's 2012 run again. This was a two pronged failure that stuck her and let Trump win.

The second was FAR more glaring: Having the narrative be "Trump will NEVER win!". Late night talkshow hosts, early morning talkshow hosts, the Current President of the United States , everyone said there was NO way he'd win, that his voters were stupid and that there were too few of them for him to stand a chance. This killed voter turnout.

That was like… about 5 or 6 years ago, I don't remember. Chris Chan only became "trans" so he could hook up with lesbians. Most of the LGBT community doesn't claim him… But then again, who wants to claim Chris Chan anyways after all he's done?

Everything can be found in the same webpage (THIS IS NOT SPAM, I SWEAR TO GOD)

Look, I understand that Google can be annoying to deal with, but this search engines do WAY MORE than looking a result. If you have watched CSI, Criminal Minds, Prison Break or anything, most of the cases can be solved via Google Search.

- What's Ligma?
- It seems like a code word, let me try looking for it.
Literally the first result, also a fictional webpage but sometimes the same page.
- Looks like a venereal disease that started in the middle of Africa, passed through sexual contact. While it's not deadly, it's noticeable enough that in America only there have been 5 cases. One of them is… dramatic music the suspect you're looking for.
- Bingo.

I don't use Reddit anymore because that site has plummeted lately for a variety of reasons. It's mostly the fact it has degraded to being a bunch of doomers who spend all their time screaming about American politics 24/7 and accusing anyone they don't like or agree with of being "Natzees" without knowing what that word means.

I remember when October 7th happened and the first post I saw was "why did all the BBC posts stop as soon as Israel got attacked?"

With the number of IL/US users and the amount of glowies on the boards, odds are there WAS a conspiracy the whole time, it was just something stupid like convincing us to use OneDrive

That's not what I've heard. From what I've heard, the merchants and money were actually needed so that the people that came to the temple from the other end of Israel didn't have to carry sacrificial chickens and goats all the way from Gallilee but could buy them right at the temple instead.

Are extraction shooters even that popular? I've seen about a dozen names come and go at this point, and only (arguably) the OGs like Tarkov and Hunt have really stuck around.

Like, the genre is pretty casual-unfriendly, and I don't think the existing audience is both that big and willing to jump to a new game
