A: The only ones I can think of are phrases like "We can't go shopping today." "He can't go fishing today, he has a test." I think the only phrases in English that naturally use a can not ~ing pattern all have "go" before the ~ing word. There's also a phrase like "You can't be doing this." but that's ちょっと方言的

A: when speaking quickly or casually we tend to take away the small extra G sound but there is no difference in meaning of course! and with texting these days people still use the ~ing uuusually. using ~in can feel old fashioned in typing sometimesss or it can be someones personal style to still use this!

while "ing" can be used, and is used frequently in both.

Writing to a person
