These colorful blown glass ornaments were at the height of their popularity in the 1940s and ’50s. Beginning in 1939, the American-made ornaments were machine blown by Corning Glass Works, hand-decorated in New Jersey, and sold at F.W. Woolworth stores for pennies apiece. In 2001, Christopher Radko Ornaments began reissuing the designs. Original Shiny Brites can be purchased online at Etsy or eBay. Keep a lookout when thrifting at antiques stores and estate sales.
