Taking some cues from aromatherapy for this silky lip balm recipe, we decided to try a combination of lavender and clary sage. Both of these sweet and floral essential oils are associated with calming properties that also uplifts. It turned out to be a wonderful blend!

You can make my gorgeous DIY lip gloss recipe with only two ingredients, castor oil, and natural carmine colorant. This red lip gloss is flirtatious and sensual. It will make your lips glossy and give a lot of shine. You could also use it on top of your lip balm or matte lipstick for an extra gloss on a night out.

Once all the ingredients are melted, remove from heat and add in the coloring of choice. Stir well. Carefully pour into your DIY lip gloss tube or small lip balm container.
