Northern mockingbird

Mimus polyglottos, Northern Mockingbird, found in North America and mainly a permanent resident, but northern birds may move south during harsh weather. It prefers open areas with sparse vegetation. It is known for its mimicking ability, as reflected by the meaning of its scientific name, "many-tongued thrush". The diet consists of arthropods (such as spiders, grasshoppers, ants, beetles, and caterpillars), earthworms, berries, fruits, seeds, and occasionally small crustaceans and lizards.

I've decided that a mockingbird will be my next tattoo.

Common and fairly widespread across much of North America and the Caribbean. Medium-sized songbird with a relatively long tail, small head, and short bill. Gray above and paler whitish below.
