Gait Happens on Instagram: "We know there are 4 stages of posterior tibial tendon dysfunction.   One of the ways to assess this is by evaluating a calf raise.  You can see here that our client is exhibiting 2 very different calf raises.  On the right side:  He is able to gain height.  The forefoot is is flat and the rearfoot is inverted  On the left side:  He does not have height. The foot looks stiff and the rearfoot is unable to invert.   This foot unfortunately is starting to develop a more rigid, fixed appearance as he is unable to perform a single leg calf raise.  Now what: 	1.	Aggressive mobility work to his foot 	2.	Train the foot into forefoot ADDUCTION 	3.	Address hip and pelvic mechanics  	4.	Orthotic as needed for certain activities (w appropriate footwear) 	5.
