Practical Magic: Tour This Beautiful Victorian Movie House

Last October, I posted a movie house tour featuring one of my favorite comedy movies, The Burbs, starring Tom Hanks and Carrie Fischer. The Burbs is a fun movie to watch around Halloween time. I SO want a garden like this... This is from the movie Practical Magic. It's hard to really tell from these pictures, but the garden is huge with lovely cobblestones, has a picket fence all the way around, multiple gates with an arch at the front. The back opens up to that large gazebo-type structure.. the format kind of looks like a wedding to me.. I suppose that might work if you took out all the plants to add space for chairs :) so lovely!! I SO want a garden like this... This is from the movie Practical Magic. A Knotted Herb Garden

When I turned the page to this picture in my January 1938 Woman's Home Companion magazine I was entranced but thought it was just a painting by a Mr. Harrie Wood and surely not a real garden. I was wrong. This is just half of the knotted herb garden that belonged to a Mrs. R. M. Littlejohn in Southhampton, Long Island, and it was designed by John Dukinfield.
