It was definitely a learning experience and I probably should’ve started with a more simple lamp prototype, but I’ve had this idea knocking around in my head for a long time and I couldn’t wait to make it! I chose this pink Himalayan salt bulb because it diffuses the light beautifully and casts such a pretty soft glow. Getting the four sides square and level with one another was possibly the most tricky part, I ended up just using and angle iron as a jig but if I do a more complicated lamp shade I will probably have to make a jig out of wood or something to hold the shape of the lamp while I solder it.
