Okay what the fck is going on with this show?? We have a gay character who is homewrecking a relationship. We have another character whom homewrecks his own relationship bc his wife falls for another version of himself. Helly is battling against herself bc she is her own enemy. Like okay

Genuinely confused on what’s the problem?
It’s one of the best shows out there right now, the commentary about capitalism and the “cult of work and productivity” is brilliant, how it shows the dehumanization that people experience because of corporations and the old men in power? Commentary on racism in the workplace, commentary on child labour, on how corporations wants slaves and want to create the perfect worker that never complains and just follows the company like a cult, commentary about wanting to leave your pain and trauma locked away to a different part of your brain but never quite being able to heal by doing that and only creating more trauma because to heal you need to go through that and you can’t just compartmentalize it away, questions about identity and personal freedom and what it means to be human etc there’s so much stuff going on in this beautiful show that we could stay here and talk about it for hours tbh
Plus there’s a whole mystery around the show to discover, the cinematography is great, the acting is amazing, the dialogue is actually smart and it doesn’t over explain anything but just shows you the hints and you have to put it together yourself… it’s interesting and funny in general, it has queer characters that are well written… it’s great television under every aspect!
Also, sorry but that description you gave is kinda twisting the show in a superficial way even just from the material point of view and I don’t think you can give an honest review when you’re doing that and looking at the show like this, because Irv is not trying to homewreck anybody, innie and outie Mark are two different individuals and innie Mark doesn’t have to love Gemma and can have his own separate feelings for others, and Helly’s story is really interesting because she shares a body with her own worst enemy!!!
But maybe the show just isn’t for you if you’re not enjoying it? that can happen and you can stop at any time you’d like ✨
severance remember you have the opportunity for a polycule
BEN STILLEEEEER!!!!!! Put Irving and Burt into an actual canonical throuple with Burt's husband and my LIFE is Y O U R S
Remember how Petey described the side effects of Reintegration?
"It's like having two different lives suddenly stitched together. But the relativity's fսckеd. So, my first day at Lumon's as far back as my fifth birthday. And with two pasts, it blurs the present too. But they said it will get better."
Mark will be experiencing these side effects too. The relativity of his life is going to be fucked. Which means his relationship with Helly might feel "as far back" as his relationship with Gemma. Due to the messed up relativity, his love for Helly may feel as significant as his love for Gemma for a while. What if this sabotages his attempts to save Gemma? If he keeps getting distracted by his love for Helly, and ends up fumbling with his Gemma rescue quest as a result? Without Reintegration, Outie Mark would have been locked in and completely focused on Gemma. But with Reintegration, his Innie's feelings will be affecting and distracting him. He Reintegrated for the purpose of saving Gemma, but the side effects of this very procedure may be what dooms her.
In the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, it's Orpheus' decision to look back at his deceased wife that destroys his attempt to save her from the Underworld. He loses her forever. Mark chose Reintegration to "look back" at his wife. To see her again. And he might lose her forever because of it.
I'm just glad that the whole "getting into a fight with your friend group while trapped in the wilderness, leaving in a rage, sleeping outside in the snow with no warmth nor fire, and dreaming about your queer situationship" went better for irving b. than jackie taylor.
