So ofc started with Cameron! I changed her name first, from Cameron Walden to Cameron Isaiah Scott Bland (or Cameron I. S. Bland, Cameron, Miss Bland, etc etc) bc I felt it. Worked better LMAO
I may give her really grey blonde hair idk, but black worked better to me bc then her stress grey hairs pop out a lot more. She also keeps her grey outfit but instead has a large cardigan and a long modest skirt both over a white button-up. This is inspired by searching “teacher outfit” on pinterest
Mostly I changed her backstory
Ever since Cameron was young, she had a crippling fear of both humans and animals alike, often causing her to never dare leave her house or communicate with anyone. Despite this, she always dreamed of being a teacher, but was never able to get over her phobias. She completed college over many half semesters, online classes, and mental breakdowns, and after she graduated was completely locked away from the world.
Eventually, her mother, sister, and brother in law (technically) kidnap her and force her into an interview to be an assistant to the vice principal of an international school for ‘special/gifted/unordinary children’. Despite almost passing out from a panic attack, she learns she got the position and will be personally transported there. She, of course, must be defacto kidnapped again to go, but she ends up at Safe Haven (name change pending) due to shenanigans and becomes Zechariah’s assistant.
She’s not a counselor anymore, moreso an assistant/intern/job shadower, so she changes around to help different teachers and the students get close to her that way. They open up to her and she helps them as much as they help her.
The story would follow cam’s arc to overcome her anxieties and gain confidence fr!!!!
I wanted her to be completely monochrome to totally contrast the vibrancy of safe haven, and I wanted her to look. Haggard and. Yah
