1. i wanted to write a post about carlos dealing with internalized shame around his kinks, but i could never articulate it how i wanted. since i got into reading/writing d/s smut i’ve always felt like people tend to focus on the submissive pov and don’t write as much about the dom’s experiences– so i’d really like to explore that and analyze how carlos experiences sex and his kinks and how his feelings about those things intersect with his feelings about his sexuality, masculinity, etc. all of this of course is really about the spirit of butchness and how carlos embodies it (aka how i project it onto him)
2. oh i love to imagine how they’ve settled into their quiet lives and how everything is comfortable and familiar and warm 🥹 in my mind they’ve already left the loft and live in a modest family home where jonah can grow up with a yard and a dog (the kitten distribution system will find them shortly). carlos wakes up too early to go to the gym on the weekdays, but on the weekends they wake up holding each other with the sun coming in through the blinds and jonah bouncing on the bed asking for breakfast. tk’s been growing their own vegetables– carlos will NOT let him get a bee colony, but tk thinks he can wear him down. other than that, i really think tk’s at peace, enjoying his little routines and finding his purpose just in loving and being loved. and maybe carlos is a little proud to be the breadwinner, but can you blame him? all he’s ever wanted to do was take care of tk. i’d say he’s succeeding at that.

it’s something i love that the show highlights (with grace and judd too!), that those in romantic relationships genuinely want to spend time with one another and enjoy each other’s company. there’s never any instance of them falling into the trap of those awful tropes, the “oh my partner annoys me” thing you see sometimes in media. none of that here! tk and carlos long to come home to each other and just talk and have nights in. they love their friends but they have their own secret language that only comes with being lovers/husbands/best friends/soulmates. they have inside jokes and share little looks and love to gossip and love hearing the other talk about little details from their day. they’re a package deal, they’re a competitive team on game nights, they love riling each other up, they love making each other laugh, they’d be happy just doing little mindless tasks in silence together because they’re each other’s favourite person!!!
