the thing is that childhood doesn’t just end when you turn 18 or when you turn 21. it’s going to end dozens of times over. your childhood pet will die. actors you loved in movies you watched as a kid will die. your grandparents will die, and then your parents will die. it’s going to end dozens and dozens of times and all you can do is let it. all you can do is stand in the middle of the grocery store and stare at freezers full of microwave pizza because you’ve suddenly been seized by the memory of what it felt like to have a pizza party on the last day of school before summer break. which is another ending in and of itself
“Friends don’t look at friends that way” coward. You don’t look at your friends with awe and adoration in your eyes? You don’t look at your friends and think “this incredible human being has chosen to listen to me ramble about my hyperfixation”? You don’t look at your friends and think “I want them to keep laughing forever”? Why the fuck not
ahhhhhhhhh i just read your tsukikage fic and let me tell you, it was one of the best i’ve read. they really mean so much to me, and i loved the amount of character development you gave them, theyre really good together but they also take so long to get there, and im glad your fic gave them time to acclimate to each other <3
and as an arospec person myself i still loved the fic so much, i think it was very fitting to have the romance part at the very end, bc they spent the whole fic learning about each other and developing a relationship.
