in which you wake up one crisp morning next to a sleepy sebastian who doesn’t want to let you out of bed just yet~

droplets of rain pattered against the windows of the cozy farmhouse, stirring you awake. it was too early, too dark, and too cold to have to get to work on the farm already, but nature never sleeps.

your sweet husband would always sleep in later than you—not only was he more of a night owl, but your work on the farm forced you to wake up in the wee hours of the morning.

as you tried to sit up in your shared bed, you felt sebastian’s arm tighten around your waist, pulling you closer to his body. “mmm, don’t go…” he murmured, half-asleep as he nuzzled his nose into your neck. “so warm… stay…”

you let out a soft chuckle as you fell back into your pillow, running a hand through his dark hair. he would always cling to you like this, especially during chilly mornings when he didn’t want you to leave him and the cozy sanctuary of your bed just yet.

“sebbyyy, you know i have to work,” you cooed, stroking his hair soothingly as you felt him sigh against your neck with both pleasure and disapproval. “i’ll cuddle with you all you want when i’m done.”

“couple more minutes, please, baby?” sebastian whined, pressing soft, sleepy kisses to the sensitive spots of your neck as though he were enticing you back to bed. “‘promise i’ll let you go after…”

you rolled your eyes affectionately; he always said the same words before complaining when you finally got up to actually leave after those aforementioned “couple of minutes.”

but you couldn’t resist, not when he finally stirred awake and peered up at you with those drowsy onyx eyes through his messy hair.

“hmmm, always so convincing,” you hummed, pulling his face into the plush of your chest as you simply held him there. he sighed happily, squeezing you close as your bodies intertwined with each other in a peaceful quiet.

the cool rain continued to sprinkle outside, a chilly breeze wafting through the open curtains. crisp morning air filled your lungs as you took a deep, blissful breath, rubbing your legs against the cold sheets that had been warmed through the night.

you had never felt more at peace with sebastian in your arms, enjoying the final moments of tranquility before getting ready to face the day.
