The Talented Mr. Ripley 1999
I love love LOVE this film so much. It's just such so masterful. Not only does it look and feel grandiose, but it acts grandiose. It acts like it's top tier because it knows it is. Every switch up, every interaction, every time a character moves their head... everything is so stressful, so hectic, yet so enticing and incredible. An absolute must-see in my opinion.
I liked the Miles Davis album in the background, but they screwed up because Tutu didn't come until the 80s. Dope movie tho.

Love & Mercy 2014
This is one subversive movie. A harrowing and gritty look at substance abuse, manipulation and perseverance. Of course the soundtrack is fantastic, but it's the chemistry between Cusack and Banks for me that really keeps this film on its feet.
This film is great. I simply couldn't have asked for a more entertaining portrayal of this story. Be careful who you trust in this world.
