this script was perfectly written, everything is just perfect from the actors to the cinematography.
I genuinely couldn’t put this film into words if i tried. But I always asked myself if it’s better to speak or to die, and while i end up speaking most times, I often wonder if i should’ve died instead.

The scene where elio tells Oliver that he wanted him to know , is where he speaks. But imagine if he hadn’t, When Oliver told him he didn’t really make a move because when he touched him while playing volleyball and he acted weird, it would've just stayed like that:(

Even though elio got hurt in the end at least he wasn’t left yearning for the love from Oliver, he spoke and he received it. Yes, he was heart broken but it was bound to happen

His relationship with his parents is touching, “you’re so lucky” and the father’s monologue in the couch was amazing (ofc ik every line) because we genuinely do rip out so much of ourselves to be cured of things faster AND YES our hearts and our bodies are only given to us once. I love everything about this film:)
