This was recommended to me by my Pixel news feed, and I am typically skeptical of anything fed to me algorithmically, but sometimes AI gets it right!

"Ti West uses the cinematic grammar of horror movies to fuck with the viewer for 2/3rds of the movie" is right up my alley.

The dance scene was great. The super downer ending was great. And of course the care and attention he put into making this movie is immediately evidence from the opening scene/credit sequence.
