I’m so unbelievably impressed that this was entirely done by one person. Just that fact alone makes it a recommendation, but there’s also some really interesting animation and a lot of poignant moments that make it worth a watch.
The film film does get a little “out there” by its end, and I’m not sure if it really does so in a satisfying way. Everything feels a bit disjointed in the closing stretch and kind of buries the emotion behind what should be some of the film’s most sentimental scenes.
The film has no spoken dialogue, which is unique, but it really makes a couple of scenes and interactions have to stretch just to remotely work.
I’m gonna have to do some research on the superstrings theory and maybe go into this film with a new mindset to see if the second half hits any better for me. Still quite enjoyed what I saw.
