I really enjoyed this one. The simple mystical plot about a lost traveler and an abandoned house (that could be home to anyone or anything) definitely works. You really feel like you’re on the edge between the real and the supernatural.
What’s most surprising is that we end up learning a lot more about the girl who helps the traveler than we do about him. I guess this is intentional, so the traveler could represent any viewer, especially the people of the Sakha Republic.
Visually, the movie is quite impressive, especially considering it's from the very early days of Sakha cinema. Plus, it’s likely the first one in their language!
