“I make films because I don’t know. I seek. I try to see things more clearly, pushing myself to at least know how to express questions. It’s a way for me to open a place for thought.” - Jean-Gabriel Périot

Flickering aphid brains
within the cloud card carrying skytides
falling into violent pride
for not yet has the seraphim arrived
we see only the war machines
but no trace of the men within them
dragonfly demoniacs
defecating their wicked, satanic seed
onto a bullet bullied earth
please, no more wars
the only thing that should rain
are a God's reign
of angel's purifying tears
hell is not a place for scorched earth as some make it
but to taste life
not to be trimmed
by the devastating droppings
lurking within the flickering aphid brains
the cloud card carrying ones, hiding out, in the skytides...
Archival footage of and from WWII-era American aircraft reflected upon itself in a flickering judder. As presented, the planes evoke flying insects, eliciting a renewed sense of wonderment at the miracle of human flight...one undercut by the sight of falling bombs devastating the ground below into beautiful abstractions.
