Really enjoyed this film. I am in no way a trump supporter honestly I hate him but this movie paints him more humanistic then he is perceived on the news or in pop culture. Sebastian Stan is uncanny as Trump many points where I was shocked it wasn’t trump himself, he perfectly nails the mannerisms of Trump without making it a comedic performance. Jeremy Strong I personally think is the best part of this as Roy Cohn who I knew nothing about it paints him as the devils mentor who had realized his mistake, one of my favorite performances of 2024 so far. I’ve seen a lot of people saying this doesn’t need to exist and sure it won’t change anybody’s minds about Trump entirely it was a picture about the start of a villain and for that I credit it. It was also funny and entertaining.
