Not even going to cap Anthony Mackie really is him. (pun intended) This is a very mixed bag all around. On one hand you have some great characters and performances, visually there is great stuff here, and the espionage plot was intriguing. On the other hand, some stale and generic characters and performances, obvious and horrible green screen, and some predictable third act fall.

I think at the forefront of this movie which may be where the short comes lie, is the political nature of this. By nature, a black Captain America movie of course will be a political statement, however it seems like the creators of this laid into it. There seemed to be some ulterior movies by the creators with the inclusion of a particular character which clearly did not fit. Which also was a very political choice.

The highlights for me were of Couse Harrison Ford, Giancarlo Esposito, and of course the man himself Captain America.
