even though as a kid i probably would’ve said the second film was my favourite, i certainly watched it the most, i’m surprised to find that in recent years i actually find myself saying this one is my favourite, although i probably couldn’t tell you the exact reasons why.
of course i rewatch the whole trilogy pretty regularly and my favourite changes so often this really doesn’t mean much. i also feel pretty strongly that the whole trilogy doesn’t really have a weak link and is perfectly told as a story in three acts. it’s with this mentality that i tend to view the whole trilogy as one long film, and why parts 2 and 3 aren’t in my top four.
