if I somehow miraculously survived everything else, the letters on the floor is where I'd die because I don't know how to spell.
Harrison Ford and Sean Connery have so much platonic comedic chemistry between them that it sells this so hard. Marcus Brody also helped carry the comedy- "he speaks a dozen languages... he's probably got the grail already", cut to "helloooo... does anyone here know English? 😟" also want to mention the shot of the three looking off the cliff and Indiana walks up behind them; thank you to whoever came up with that.
this addition to the Indiana Jones trilogy definitely helped it's story credibility after the mess that was Temple of Doom. Henry and Indiana are so different yet also so similar that it creates a really interesting dynamic between the two characters. the thing I said the most during this movie, after throwing my hands in the air, was "these fucking guys." I wish they did more about the backstory with snakes though.
this is the final Indiana Jones story for me, the ones made after this don't exist. the final shot of Indiana Jones' ever is him riding off into the sunset on a horse with his dad and friends.
