wow i can’t believe a Barbie movie would carry such fundamental themes of existentialism, fulfillment, and patriarchy?! there is certainly some great substance layered to be reckoned with.
ngl there were points in the film that were pretty predictable to follow through but there’s no denying the self-awareness (and i’ll go as far as saying) and satirical aspects of this film are the true strengths.
toxic masculines & tate riders are breathing aggressively with this one, but my god what a time to be alive with this film (and Oppenheimer) are out here filling seats in the cinema.
