Slow cinema but make it vaguely horrific. They aren't literal ghosts but they certainly feel like them.

Probably going to have to watch this again at some point to have any real thoughts on it beyond loving the ending and clocking all the Western invasions but not fully getting why. Is he arguing that young people in Japan don't really fit their society anymore? Are we so rutted in our routines that we're practically ghosts of ourselves? Is it both and more?

At any rate I think it was worth the watch.
