I mostly enjoyed this film, though it feels a little unsure of what it wants to be. The supernatural/occult elements make it seem a little disjointed, and frankly, a little less scary (and a lot more cliche/silly). That being said, the suspense is built up quite effectively in the first half or so. Unfortunately, it falls pretty flat later on.

If you have to over-explain everything in the last third of your story, you might be taking away from the immersion of the whole experience. I would almost always rather have unanswered questions at the end of a film instead of a blatant explanation. The need for critical analysis challenges viewers, and can certainly result in the rewatchability of a film.
