This film is well made and acted.  The cinematography is good.  I felt inescapably drawn into the story and the intense conflict. It has quite a bit of nudity, but it isn’t over the top. It was a bit confusing in focus, at times seeming to be a romance and then other times a dark humor gangster film. It also seems to try too hard to represent another minority perspective and make an immoral lifestyle just another option.  The ending tries to be profound and meaningful but it isn’t altogether satisfying. I am baffled that it won so many awards. Recommended for the film quality, but with caution about content and plot.
