This latter day Argento seems to pretty much be hated by most and it's not hard to see why. Compared to his classics it is severely lacking; but to be honest I've found that I've increasingly liked it more on every subsequent viewing. Unlike most Argento, this one is a police procedural at heart but with a truly absurd video poker motif at the centre. The plotting is a bit choppy but there's several really tense scenes - the video poker bits in particular and the ending is a hilarious blast. There's some good shots of Rome once it gets going and while it really lacks bloodshed; it's never boring. Sure its not classic Argento but as a film in its own right, I rather like it.
