i’ve never felt so content with just being a regular girl.
maybe my own personal loser problems gave me a weird bias, but never has a movie made my heart swell with so much comfort and joy. my older sister seemed a little underwhelmed and felt like the the movie should’ve been a little stronger and more serious so it could get its point across better but i disagree!
i’m glad Barbie didn’t take itself too seriously, staying lighthearted and funny while still making you think and shed a few tears in the process.
my greatest take away?
the pressures set on women to be extraordinary, unique, and perfect beings are far too great.
it’s okay to just be an ordinary barbie :)
