  I haven’t truly enjoyed a superhero flick in years but I left the theater REELING over this one: a fresh exploration of the early years of the bat’s vigilantism, dodging tired tropes of the waynes’ deaths to frame how the event shaped young bruce into a creature of vengeance and leading into the beginning of his era as gotham’s symbol of hope, with a balance of detective work and action along with dark visuals and a scenic score to capture the perfect batman narrative that felt ripped right from the pages of the comics in such a compelling way
