Mani sir ,what is this ??
I did not expect this from you ,I mean where was the emotional connect /depth of characters.
In one scene Trisha says to Vikram something like cholas are here for ruling people but I don't see any coversation happen between normal working people and main characters who played cholas or whatever. I mean if you are making a drama you have to show not just internal conflicts , you should give an idea about their history of cholas fascistic nature too along with their masculinity hype.
This film is more like verbose rather than drama.
Most hyped character like aish was total letdown.I mean her conversation with karthi was like a normal conversation with some mani touch of older movies- love story hero heroine meetups.i am saying this again though I am a hugeee fan of Trisha for her portrayals of middle class normal love characters. She is not fit into these periodic dramas emoting more with eyes or even lady oriented films too except if the character type is like janaki from 96. Anyways still I am in awe of her beauty no matter what.
First 5 min fight sequence and fight sequence after interval are just happen like some commercial hero films without any pre info just to showcase their male masculinity maybe.many scenes were bland.Karthi is effortless in his role but still as I said earlier lacks any emotional connect.
I will definitely check this film again on ott for better understanding maybe if I miss anything.
P.S : This story works well with more fleshing out the characters deeply if it is made into series rather than half baked 2 part movie.
