this is so mean but sometimes i see published writing and suddenly no longer feel insecure about my own writing ability. like well okay that got published so im guessing i dont have much to worry about

I mean this with my whole self, being fueled by the desire to do better than the absolute garbage you see out in the world is a perfectly reasonable motivator.

today i wrote zero words! but i did think about my story twice in passing. that probably counts for something

I'm at the vet rn with Basil. And things aren't looking great. They believe he may have a mass on his heart. There's a chance that this isn't the case and that he'll be fine. But in order to figure that out the bill is $2,758.58. I can cover about $2,500 of it. But that last $258 I dont have due just to starting a new job.

The higher end total $3,182.58. But I fear that's gonna be out of the realm of possibility at the moment. But if I could just get that $258 then at the very least he can be treated today. Commissions are my last resort so here I am.
