I was at a con last year and approached the big dakimakura booth and asked if they had any Homestuck (i was so desperate. ended up with a bunch of sick xamag stuff though) and the guy looked at me really dramatically and started talking about how hussie would shut them down if anyone tried to sell merch without his permission and that there shouldn't be any merch at the con and if there is they should look out and it was so jarring. I don't think anyone's copyright struck an egbert since like 2019

i know someone who has a booth at a convention i go to yearly. one time i went over there, asked if she had homestuck merch, and she very discreetly pulled out an old binder with her discontinued badge designs. she had the beta kids, the alpha kids, and the alternia trolls.

i talk to her about this, really really proud cause iirc i was the first homestuck to ask her about having homestuck merch.
i come back a day later, about $80 in cash ready to go. i buy that son of a gun. i walk away with JOY and go to my yearly homestuck meetup i put together. and now i havent used any of the stickers almost a year later and the beta kid badges reside in my captchalogue ita bag by @/enderโslime ๐
