In France April Fools are called “Poisson d'Avril” (April’s Fish) and while we also make jokes, our biggest tradition is to tape fishes in the back of people as a prank. The goal, of course, is to be unoticed.
The longer the fish stay and the bigger it is, the better.
The longer you keep the fish, the dumber you look.

It’s a very popular and normal thing to do here (we also eat fish shaped chocolate).

I find it cute how Sterns was able to both give Bruce hope and make him smile in this deleted scene. He truly was his only light in those dark times, wasn’t he? Too bad they never met again after the events of The Incredible Hulk.

I noticed there were some bruising-like marks on his face. Don’t know if it’s because of his mutation (most likely) or if he was tortured, but I decided to depict them anyways.

I think I finally found a consistant style to draw MCU Sam that I like without having to look at pics of him or Tim

Did you know that MCU Sam is canonically ADHD? Now you know.
This (MCU canon) book was written by Peter David btw, the writer who introduced mental illnesses and neuroatypies into the Hulk lore so he knows what he’s doing.

(and while it’s not canonically said, it’s safe to assume he’s also autistic given his behaviors before and after his mutation)

It’s probably why I have so much affection with MCU Sam and feel closer to him than I am to comics Sam, because I’m autistic/ADHD and I behave exactly like Sam, let it be before or after his mutation.

And that’s why Bruce and Betty’s annoyance around him always pain me.
It’s understandable, of course, they’re here because they’re hopeless and suffering and they have better thing to do than seeing a guy feeling so enthousiast for what you suffer from so their reaction is perfectly legit.
But I’m used to have people reacting the exact same way when I show as much enthousiasm as Sam (and unlike him I’m actually harmless and getting excited over silly fictional things) so it kind of hurt anyway haha

People praise me because I was able to “predit” a lot of stuff MCU Sam did but really all I did was wondering what I’d do if I was in his shoes and I know I’d do the same.

I’m talking about neurodivergences here but really, MCU Sam is also a very good and strong metaphor for disabilities. I’m not gonna say more about that matter here ‘cause I’m working on a blog post for that but anyway. I love him, in him I see myself and my own life, that’s the point lol

After all, my life changed forever through a single bad day 16 years ago too.
