The endless “searching…” as your brain tries to fit every real-life stimulus into its narrative of what’s REALLY going on. The background preoccupation with real, ongoing emotional difficulty…

People often imagine psychotic delusions as being entirely dependent on hallucination, people seeing and talking to fully fleshed out, convincing looking characters. But delusion doesn’t require hallucination at all.
