Opinion mining has been widely used in recent online reviews or feedback due to its ability to analyse text-based data. The use of this technique for analysing data from students’ feedback needs to be addressed, since most educational institutions are focusing more on questionnaires based on the Likert-scale rather than on the open-review type. To this end, there is a lack of online assessment systems that could automatically analyse open-review questionnaires. Therefore, the main aim of this study is to analyse students’ feedback in an online assessment system through the opinion mining technique, by focusing on textual form data derived from the open-review questionnaires. The National Defence University of Malaysia (NDUM) is the sole provider of tertiary education for future military personnel. As a boutique university, NDUM emphasises on developing military character strengths among its students in all aspects of co-curricular and academic curriculum. This paper will present the relationship between Military Character Strengths (MCS) and the software development process (SDP), as part of the Final Year Project (FYP) for Computer Science students at the Faculty of Defence Science and Technology. This study has analysed the formation of an outstanding and successful NDUM student, which can be influenced by the MCS. NDUM has outlined the characteristics of its ideal graduates, known as the 'Leaders of Character' (LoC). The results showed that MCS are important attributes of LoC implementation. The results further showed that there was a correlation between MCS and LoC in software development process for Computer Science students in NDUM.

Viral outbreaks such as SARS, H5N1, and H1N1 have led the need of temperature monitoring in areas where crowds are expected such as in hospitals and airports. Infrared (IR) thermal screening, hitherto, has been found as powerful, quick and non-invasive method to detect the elevated temperature of febrile individuals when the temperature of the face is above 36°. Past research has proved that the most excellent area that represents the core body temperature is the medial canthal areas of the face as it is less dependent on the effects of ambient temperature. In realistic situation, the moving subjects are random and the angles of the skin surface and distances change dynamically and misdetection of canthal area could also be due to any other unwanted objects that have the same temperature. The normal approach is to ask a single person to stand still for 2 seconds to capture the temperature. However this approach is ineffective and this will lead to long queue in public. To solve this issue, we have proposed a combination of physiology-based and optical flow algorithm to extract vascular network from the face. The thermal camera is provided with colour and audible alarming, hence when the camera detect an abnormal temperature from a person, automatic febrile individual tracking alarm will report to the operator the current location of the individual. The comparison of human motion detection between images from thermal and ordinary camera is developed to track object motion in video using background subtraction technique. The purpose of this application is to generate technology development of the video sequence field and closed to all technology toward of fast growth. The User Interface (GUI) programming development is to aid user to use the system and understanding the system hierarchy. GUI is the medium between user and system. The process that used to develop this system is such as image differential technique, morphology process and plotting process. The analyzed scene involved video recording of the human dynamic motion. Motion detection analysis is done using the sum of absolute difference algorithm within each image frame. Morphology processes are needed to eliminate noise to obtain a more accurate foreground object image. Results obtain thus far clearly indicate that the developed algorithm achieves its objective and successfully compared the detection of the motion object between thermal and ordinary camera.  Index Terms-infrared, thermal image processing, background subtraction algorithm-based approach

This study is aimed to investigate the use of optical flow techniques in detecting changes in facial expressions. Facial expression detection is very important as we can identify a person's emotional and mental state. When communicating with people, we can identify someone's expression accurately compared to a computer. Although many approaches are applied on this topic, there are still several drawbacks and limitations. In order to yield better results, we have applied optical flow technique to detect facial expression. In addition, we have carried out our experiment using Horn-Schunck method to optimize the results. Based on the experiment conducted, the average value represented by every facial expression can be identified, and the values are significant for future research that focuses on facial expression classification.

Intelligence data are among the critical elements used as a reference for risk-assessment and decision-making regarding national security. The intelligence data are shared among intelligence agencies in the intelligence community in improving the efficiency of their services. Centralised data with central authority is highly exposed to being an easy target of attackers. Leaked or unauthorised access of the intelligence data to a non-intelligence community will bring severe effect to a state. Blockchain as immutable and high-security technology is capable of providing cryptographic data in a decentralised environment and potentially can be applied for data sharing among the intelligence community. However, the acceptance and readiness of users on blockchain usage in the intelligence community are yet to be systematically studied. Considering the statement, this paper proposed an evaluation method to study the acceptance of blockchain technology by integrating a reliable acceptance model for blockchain technology implementation in the intelligence community. The acceptance model consisted of constructs from the Technology Acceptance Model 3 (TAM 3) and Technology Readiness Index 2 (TRI 2) and was analysed using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). In this study, the result indicates that TAM 3 and TRI 2.0 integration model could contribute to determining the acceptance level in developing blockchain-based intelligence data sharing for the intelligence community.

The popularity of big data analytics (BDA) has boosted the interest of organisations into exploiting their large scale data. This technology can become a strategic stimulation for organisations to achieve competitive advantage and sustainable growth. Previous BDA research, however, has focused more on introducing more traits, known as Vs for big data traits, while ignoring the quality of data when examining the application of BDA. Therefore, this study aims to explore the effect of big data traits and data quality dimensions on BDA application. The advancement of technology has led to the development of an artificial intelligence-based healthcare-related application that can be easily accessed and used to assist people in lifestyle intervention for preventing the development of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). Previous research suggested that users are demanding a more emotional evocative user interface design. However, most of the time, it has been ignored due to lack of a model that could be referred in developing emotional evocative user interface design. This creates a gap in the user interface design that could lead to the ineffectiveness of content delivery in the NCD domain. This paper aims to investigate emotion traits and their relationship with user interface design for lifestyle intervention. Kansei Engineering method was applied to determine the dimensions for constructing emotional evocative user interface design. Data analysis was done using SPSS statistic tool and the result showed the emotional concepts that are significant and impactful towards user interface design for lifestyle intervention in NCD domain. The outcome of this research shall create new research fields that incorporate multi research domain including user interface design and emotions.

Detection and tracking of people in digital images has been subject to extensive research in the past decades.Following the growing availability of thermal cameras and the distinctive thermal signature of humans, research effort has been focusing on developing people detection and tracking methodologies applicable to this sensing modality.Thermal imaging technology can be used to detect aggressive levels in humans based on the radiated heat from their face and body.
