i would be interested to see comparison gifs. like margot/sharon side by side

I’m glad to see some people wouldn’t mind too much.

And @elizabitchtaylor that’s exactly what I’d love to do. I wish there was more footage of Margot so I could make gif sets but I’ll work with what I have so far.

I’d say once the film gets online, I’m going to gif like crazy. In the trailer, Margot is dancing with a black and white backdrop and it reminded me of when Sharon was dancing behind the scenes of the photoshoot for ‘The Wrecking Crew’!

Question…

How would you all feel if I posted gifs/photos from Tarantino’s new film with Margot as Sharon over the next few months? It definitely won’t be too much and I would purely stick to just Margot as Sharon. I was nervous to do so before but it might be nice, seeing as Debra supports Margot in the role.

Thoughts?

Thoughts on the OUTIH trailer? I was on board with you yesterday when you said the Margot doesn’t really resembles Sharon in any form but the 3 sec we got to see her in it I kinda saw Sharon? She looks good, no doubt. And the cinematography of the trailer looks flawless as well. (+)

Hey!

I managed to be on youtube the other day, just when the trailer was released and I think I’ve watched it about 10 times now haha!

It looks AMAZING!! And Margot looks really fantastic. She looks more like Sharon in motion than in the production photos, which I find so interesting. I wish we got to hear her say something in the teaser but I think we’ll hear her in the full trailer soon enough.

It seems like it’s going to be a fun film. Maybe the run up to Sharon’s death will be alluded to but not shown?

I LOVE Tarantino. I always have. I think his movies are always quality and seeing as Debra gave her blessing, I’d say Tarantino will just show Sharon living in Hollywood, knowing the Dicaprio and Pitt characters? Who knows but I’m so freaking excited, I CAN’T DEAL!

I just looked up ''Charlie Says" and it's nothing but a film all about the perpetrators. Kind of insulting to the victims.

I finally got to watch the trailer and it is definitely trying to manipulate us into thinking they’re victims. I can honestly say I will not watch this film. Very insulting to all the victims, indeed.

Thank you for the answer. I didn’t know if you had already been asked about it and didn’t want to bother. Charlie Says is awful. Apparently is centered in the cult and the trailer gives you the impression they want you to believe that the likes of Leslie and Patricia are somehow victims. At least it’s the vibe I got from the trailer. I kinda already hate it.

Oh god, I’m going to watch that trailer ASAP because I’m so curious now. It fascinates me to no end how the power of cinema can manipulate people into feeling sorry for evil psychopaths. I don’t want to see stories from ‘the view’ of killers. I’m also slightly judging Matt Smith right now haha

What do you think about the upcoming movies about Sharon? I personally have have mixed feelings about it. No way I’m watching Charlie Says but Tarantino’s I don’t know yet. I found very disrespectful of his part wanting initially put the movie premiere on her murder anniversary, and then they moved it and it’s okay-ish but still I’m not a fan of making a movie about her life and death with the obvious risk of glamorizing the murders somehow.

Thanks for the question!

In a word - Nervous.

I do know that Debra gave her blessing to Tarantino and has read the script. However, I don’t think she’s involved in the actual process and there will be changes to the script and editing, no doubt. As a massive fan of Tarantino, I’m still weary considering what kind of themes he usually works with. I’m also so nervous for Margot Robbie. I really like her as an actor but she never would have been my choice to play Sharon. I also don’t really think she looks like her at all, besides the blonde hair. Their voices as well…so very different! Sharon actually had such a distinct voice. Although, it is really hard to judge right now. I hope it all pulls together and that Debra is happy with the portrayal of Sharon. I do have a little hope that it’ll all work out just fine!

She also gave Kate Bosworth and Michael Polish her blessing, and will be producing their film called ‘Tate’ (at least since the last time I read about production, her name isn’t listed on the film on IMDB). In this case, I know she’ll be able to guide the director and Kate. Kate Bosworth is a horrible actress…I’m sorry but she has the emotional range of a brick BUT I actually think she looks a little more like Sharon (in the face) than Margo?!?!?! I saw some photos Michael Polish posted and….I can see it slightly. The best thing about this film is that it is 100% about Sharon’s life, nothing to do with her death. That makes me happy so I’m kind of looking forward to this one too. But also still nervous haha.

The Hilary Duff film looks vile in every way, shape and form. Even if I wasn’t a fan of Sharon, judging from the trailer it looks so poorly made, with just bad actors. I don’t think I’ll look at it because trying to get through the trailer was so painful and cringe. DYING to see the reviews on this one

I actually had to look up ‘Charlie Says’ because I had never heard of it. That makes 4 films that are coming out within the next year or so that will have Sharon in them. It’s crazy. I can’t watch the trailer right now but I’m under the impression that Sharon isn’t in it too much? Either way, I’m going to look into this one. As far as we know, Debra hasn’t said anything about it yet.

I totally get you, though. I definitely don’t want to see her death glamourized and I’ll be paying close attention to the early reviews when they come out. I can’t help but be highly critical of these and I really hope Tarantino and Polish do respectful, good jobs for their films. As for the other two, both look like a hard pass for me. We shall see.
