Did you miss out on Lovleg (2018-2019), the Norwegian queer web TV show with the gorgeous cinematography, adorable characters, and the sweetest main character ever to grace a screen?
Fear not, because there are neat chronological overviews of both seasons, with English subtitles and transcripts of each clip (translated by @lovlegenglish) and translations (by us at @lovlegskada) of social media posts, Gunnhild’s notes and all the more or less weird but always creative ways Lovleg gave us content.
There will be no more Lovleg, unfortunately, but by all means enjoy what we did get.

zxtrnpb97 asked:
Why was Lovleg canceled after 2 seasons? So many unanswered questions.
Oh my fucking god a Lovleg ask! In 2025! I love you. Please accept my hypothetical firstborn.
I think NRK’s entertainment for teens and young adults department was just trying to bite off more than they could chew at the time. At the same time they were producing 16-19 (urban setting, characters with non-Norwegian ethnicities), Blank (more or less urban settings but also small town), Skitten snø (urban setting, crime/revenge plot) and possibly some I’ve forgotten. There’s only so much attention you can grab from the target audience, and Lovleg probably had lower viewer numbers than other shows.
So all we can do is stew in our bitterness and maybe rewatch now and then.
Usually when a beloved social medium starts looking like it’s going to belly flop badly, I back up some of my shit and move (crankily) on. Now I’m staring at @lovlegskada and wondering what the hell to do if Tumblr fucks that much up now.
I’ve started an export, at least. I hope that turns out somewhat usable, but thinking about moving the whole thing and then fixing links in an episode post like this makes me want to scream.
Really really hoping Matt doesn’t fuck up so badly that I need to move house.
In other words, if you need to watch/rewatch/knows someone who ought to watch the loveliest queer girl show ever, now’s a good time?

Anonymous asked:
what is russebus like? have you ever experienced it?
A bus isn’t all that much of a thing outside of Oslo, but the celebration is, and yep, I celebrated! It’s usually a lot of drinking and I certainly drank a LOT, I got several knots in my hat ribbon and it was really fun. My school work suffered immensely… I wasn’t in a car or bus crew, I was a “walking russ”, but we partied in buses.

Anonymous asked: Just wondering if you guys considered crowd funding for season 3?
Hello - no, because NRK has the (tax paid) funds if they’d wanted to make another season. They don’t, so unless a private channel picks ut up and can purchase the rights and finance it, this is it for Lovleg.

Anonymous asked: is it usual for high schooler to live in a flatshare in norway?
It’s not at all unusual in rural Norway. If you live too far away from the school you want to attend for a reasonable daily commute, you live in school housing or flatshares. Gunnhild could have gone to upper secondary in Høyanger where her parents live, but preferred to apply to Firda, and it’s a 2 hr drive from Høyanger to Sandane/Firda.

Hi! So, lovely @liteogstort made a huge effort to translate the BTS from the Lovleg website (here). As most of it is out of context, we kept in the time stamps in the transcript to make it easier to get what is said when! We hope you got as much nostalgia from it as we did. Also, the names of the actors can be found on Lovleg’s IMDb-page (here).
Thank you for having been on this journey with us <3(transcript is under the cut)
Anonymous asked: Do you think you’ll translate the bloopers?
@mynameisnotthepoint and I talked about it, but we’re both super busy, so it won’t happen yet, at least :/
Immy
Anonymous asked: Are u guys gonna translate the bloopers?
I had completely forgotten - we’ll see what we can do (possibly with some help from @mynameisnotthepoint?)
The bloopers can be found here, with Norwegian subtitles.
