Summary:

After getting in the Pillar of Heaven, the cycle end and MK cannot go back home. With the help of Nuwa and the color stone, he was send to the next cycle so he could live a new life without the burden of being the harbinger of chaos.
MK, now fully a mystic monkey, arrived in this new cycle at the time of Journey to the West, but he have no idea at what point of the book he is! Is it during the pilgrimage? or way before?? he don’t know for now, but he will soon know.

I wanted to do a bit more panels here and there, but if I did, I would’ve exceed the limit of images on tumblr and I didn’t wanted to split into another part-

Wukong got his memory of MK at the moment he saw him, and for now, the only thing he remember is his bond with MK, nothing else.

He know he care a lot for this kid and how much he means to him❤️

I’ve been drawing so much these past few weeks, more than what I normally do, and now I need to slow down so I can continue to enjoy drawing.

I’m still working on the next update for “the new past au” but it will take a few days before it’s done, so please be patient.

there is just some little changes here and there, but the most important one is his eyes! So it look a lot more like Wukong and Macaque eyes👀

Mk wasn’t that ready to face Wukong, but Macaque wanted to bring him to Wukong as soon as possible-

He’s trying his best not to thing about his fight with Wukong but being in front of him make things difficult dfgfdg

Could you share some tips for how you draw the monkeys? Like, just basic things? For example, for some reason I always struggle with those darn ears of Macaque’s and often make them so big he’s a six eared bunny-monkey hybrid.

Of course! I made a little step by step tutorials how I draw them!

I start with a circle and draw line to help me know in which direction I want them to look. (the red arrows show how I do the line).

Mk face is a bit rounder and small since he’s a kid. Macaque face is thinner than Wukong’s.

Then I place the eyes, mouth and defined their nose.

of course their eyes are differents from each other!

After that I do the hair! I always do in the order I show in the bottom left corner. (For Mac and Wukong, I do the hairline on second)

I hope it’s clear how I do it-

Finally I do the ears! I place them at the same level of the eyes

If it’s hard to read:

-Macaque’s ears are long and thin. The size is ~half of his face.

-MK ears are short and a bit rounder than Macaque’s.

Wukong is immortal several times over and was a Buddha in previous cycle, I'm guessing it's either because of that, and or it might be because MK and Wukong are originally from the literally same stone.
