could just be me being delusional but I think there’s something fascinating about Leo/need and Nightcord’s thing with distance

cause with L/N even though one of their main goals/wishes is to never be apart again, there’s sort of an underlying reassurance that they’ll always find their way back to each other no matter how big the distance is. They’ve done it once already, so there’s nothing stopping them from doing it again

N25 on the other hand handles distance differently. They started off distant from each other, and even after meeting in person there was a sort of disconnect between all of them in the beginning before they really got to know each other.

the difference lies in the fact that while both L/N and N25 wish to stay together, N25 is more prone to falling into old habits and recreating the distance between each other.

Shiho’s struggle with choosing between Standout and Leo/need was mostly due to the fact that while she did want to go pro, she wants to pursue that path with her friends. When the rest of Leo/need plays for her, she chooses them and they remain together. This is a recurring pattern with Leo/need, wherein when a member struggles they regain their resolve by remembering their wish to stay together

when Mizuki is facing her struggles, she runs from the rest of nightcord and creates distance. Ena is eventually able to close this distance, but this is Nightcord’s pattern. The members of Nightcord tend to create distance between themselves and whatever is causing them pain. Ena with her art, Mafuyu with her mom, Mizuki with her secret. Kanade is the main exception but that’s mostly because she uses her pain as motivation to instead distance herself from whatever is keeping her from composing. We’re seeing this more prominently with how Kanade’s become more insistent on saving Mafuyu and neglecting her own well being in the process

Leo/need’s pipeline of together to distant to together again greatly impacts how they resolve issues, seeing as their time apart were the worst years of their lives.

nightcord is used to being distant, even after getting together. The problem lies in the fact that getting together makes the distance hurt more than before

we know that both Kotoko and Muu have beliefs that revolve around the strong and the weak. 

Muu always has to paint herself as the weak one so the people in power take pity on her and view her as the victim. She’s very keen on appearing like someone who’s not at fault even when she is.

Kotoko always has to protect the weak. She views herself as strong and believes it’s her duty as the stronger person to defend the weaker person

Both of these beliefs sort of reaffirm each other, which I think would cause Kotoko and Muu to continue believing their way of seeing the world is the correct way. Herein lies the problem. These beliefs are incredibly black and white, leaving no room for a gray area. To Kotoko and Muu, they’re right and everyone else is wrong, which is a rather closed minded way of thinking.

They also end up sort of using each other. Kotoko has a weakling to protect and Muu has someone stronger that she can manipulate into defending her. Kotoko’s using Muu to fuel her superiority complex (I’m not too sure if this is the right term but it’s close enough) and Muu is using Kotoko for her own security. 

there is still a bond between the two of them, seeing as Kotoko takes Muu’s T2 guilty verdict very personally and Muu finds herself lost without Kotoko’s company, but that doesn’t negate the fact that they wind up encouraging each other’s unhealthy/toxic mindsets

can we as a fandom explore more of Kanade’s relationship with her grandma cause like. Where is this woman

like I know her grandma was the one to hire Honami but also. Why doesn’t she come take care of Kanade herself? Idk about anyone else but if I found out my grandchild’s only living parent was hospitalized and thus unable to care for them I feel like the next logical course of action is to either go live with them or have them live with you. And the latter option is one I know Kanade would violently protest

we know that she does check in on Kanade at least a little bit based on the call in Kana4 but. Why call when you could be physically present with her?

I’m all for exploring Kanade’s relationship with her parents but can her grandma come visit her or something cause I need to know more about their dynamic

yapping about the wolfsbane au (0410 found family au) cause I can’t draw them right now:

  • Muu follows Kotoko to her weird warehouse vigilante base one day and is absolutely appalled
  • she insists on redecorating no matter how much Kotoko protests
  • Muu also makes Kotoko go to malls with her “for protection” but is really just trying to play dress up
  • the only thing Muu picks out for her that Kotoko agrees to get is a hat that looks the exact same as the fifty others she already owns
  • Muu gets to meet Lucky and doesn’t take kindly to having to share Kotoko’s attention
  • then Lucky calls her pretty once and she’s immediately attached
  • Muu gives Lucky tips on how to get Kotoko to do what they want
  • Lucky when she learns how to manipulate
  • Kotoko suddenly finds herself buying cake way more than usual
  • they do still end up in MILGRAM and they have this thing where they try to get the other to talk about what happened
  • Muu tries to use manipulation and Kotoko tries to use intimidation but neither of them budge
  • I like to think that Muu and Haruka would still form their friendship and Kotoko acquires another teenager
  • you know those lines of baby ducks following their moms? That’s Kotoko Muu and Haruka walking around the prison
  • when the three of them are voted innocent Muu and Haruka are quick to turn a blind eye to Kotoko’s “justice”
  • Sorry guys Haruka still dies
  • except his death is hard on both Muu and Kotoko
  • Kotoko feels slightly betrayed by Muu with her newfound guilty verdict so she tries to avoid her
  • Muu doesn’t care about what Kotoko’s verdict might mean but she doesn’t know what to do without her scary guard dog privileges
