Hi Lymantria, I think this editor deserves a bit of explanation of why it was unsuccessful and perhaps some encouragement and advice for the future. Could you leave some rationale, or post them a message on their talk page? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 14:47, 11 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Yes, that was too bureaucratic from my side. Thanks. --Lymantria (talk) 16:44, 11 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

A quesition

edit

Hello, fellow editor! I need your assistance with a question. Could you recommend a script or a similar tool that would allow me to add the same description to multiple articles within a specific category? For instance, I'd like to add the description "settlement in Banja Luka" to articles within this template on SWP. And there's a lot more work to be done. Thank you in advance. — Sadko (words are wind) 17:58, 20 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

For such tasks I use https://quickstatements.toolforge.org/. It has a help page. --Lymantria (talk) 18:55, 20 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello Mr Admin, You deleted item Q130002968 and Q130232730. as a new editor it feels discouraging and disheartening to see your edits being deleted but i guess that is how i will learn and grow but according to what i saw accross the web and online, Q130002968 seems okay and good to be here. below are the discussion about the item, how about you heck them out please

And for Q130232730, you deleted it because someone asked for the deletion, is that how it should be? did you take a look about it before deciding to delete it

I am looking forward to your response, thanks. Zannytj (talk) 02:32, 22 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

The item Q130002968 did not satisfy our notability criteria, because the sources that were added (as well as the sources you quote above) did not qualify to be serious. They are not objective in the sense that these articles are either press releases by the object (or their company) themselves, or "advertorials" in which only superlatives, praise and other promotional wordings are used. These do NOT qualify. The same goes for Q130232730, I am very surprised that you suggest that I might have deleted an item for which deletion was requested without checking the item. You might be interested in Wikidata:Guide to requests for undeletion.
There is something quite peculiar to your request: you created neither of the items you request undeletion for and (hence) you were not the creator of either item. Items were deleted before your account was created. Nevertheles you write how heartbreaking the experience was to see your items deleted. That doesn't make sense. Are you editing using multiple accounts? --Lymantria (talk) 18:22, 22 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hello, i got your explanation regarding the items notability and the sources provided so far.
Apologies if you got offended by my attack of you not checking item before deletion. i have heard experience of editors with admin about item deletion mostly if it was requested for deletion. And thanks for suggesting that i read Wikidata:Guide to requests for undeletion, i will do that.
And yes, i didn't created both item. I created only item Q130002968 when i haven't made a user account and for item Q130232730, i didn't created it. i was going to and figured out that it has been created and deleted before which is why i requested for undeletion of both items together. And No, i am not editing with multiple accounts.
