a statement that left amara surprised. being a socialite doesn't seem to be a bad thing even though she knew these people had different problems. they had the advantage of having it more comfortable, though. "how did you manage that?"

for amara, it sounded quite unrelated, but that could also be because she did not understand certain things. memes, for example, were a mystery to her and she didn’t understand why they should be entertaining or funny.

"and that’s how you like to spend your time?"

she would still prefer it if katherine chose another person for these activities.

“No I used to like to spend my time going places and doing things, bars, drinking, dancing, and the occasional lay- but now I’m stuck here so this is all I have to do.”
