Hi! I just wanted to say your quilts are beautiful. Thank you for sharing them.

Awe. Thank you so much. It’s so nice to know you are enjoying them! TY for letting me know!! 🥰

I finally got around to getting this Christmas quilt bound. I fell in love with the panel and just had to make a quilt with it. Patterns by Villa Rosa Designs. I love the quilting my long armer went with. My eldest claimed it for hers.

I added a Christmas tag and a surprise care tag. I used a super soft flannel on the back as she is not a fan of most Minky.

Can’t wait to give this one to her! What do you think?

I came across a bunch of machine embroidered blocks I had finished for a pattern test. I decided I needed to finish the top. I had to make 13 additional fish. Then because I wanted to add them to the corners, 4 more. I got all the e yea embroidery done and the top cut out.

Today I put the borders on it. So happy with it!

Have you had any visitors lately? ❣️

My cats visit me all the time. Especially Jack and Autumn and Hallie.

a drawing of nine angels in rows of three, each holding a different type of cat and wearing a white robe. above and below is text reading 'all cats go to heaven'. the final angel is hugging a tiger.ALT

This drawing made me realise that actually I love the comfort zone and I would like to go back into it. Also that I must draw more tigers.

You might find something like this on your property or along public forest trails. It’s about the same size and shape as a ketchup packet and smells like rotten fish. Believe it or not, this little packet protects you, your pets, and your family. The USDA drops these in areas (including Hamilton County) where raccoon-variant rabies has been known to occur. Raccoons find the packet and eat the contents, and it provides them with immunity to rabies. If you find one, simply leave it where it is, or, if it’s in an area accessible to a pet or child, just put on a pair of gloves and move it. Don’t worry, though— even if it was handled by a human or pet, it doesn’t pose any danger besides an unpleasant odor.

Because everything like this should have a clickable source, first one is a news report second one is the NYC department of health official site.

I am putting my Quirky Birds quilt up for sale. The quilt is a mix of raw edge appliqué and hand embroidery. Each bird and flower were stitched around using hand guided, free motion straight stitching. The birds faces and legs were hand embroidered by me too. A super soft aqua Minky is the backing. The quilt measures 39” x 42”, making it the perfect baby quilt or a fun picnic quilt! Please message me if you are interested. Asking $150. Free domestic shipping in the continental US. Smoke free , cat friendly home. Machine wash, cold, delicate. Hang dry or dry on low.

Chat, is it considered “abusive roommate behavior” to release a raccoon into the living space after you have asked your roommate for months to please clean up their messes (they do not pay any of the mortgage)

For context, when I used to live alone I would do something called “Princess Time” where I would do an initial sweep (to remove any significant hazards) and then I would release a raccoon into the living area and clean. This helped because I would 1) feel like a princess and 2) the raccoon would bring attention to things my ADHD brain had decided to ignore and I’d quickly clean that stuff up.

So like, if I’m expected to clean the house now, I will be doing it in the way that is most effective for me. And anything that has not been cleaned up after months of having sit-down talks and sending reminders and being promised things will change, might be deemed “trash” by the trash panda and thrown away.

We haven’t done since we moved into the house, because I didn’t want to cause my roommate or their cats destress or have their things destroyed by a raccoon

I am a raccoon biologist and one of the few people in the state allowed to take in captive bred raccoons that had been possessed illegally. The raccoon in the photos is Moonshine, but she is currently at the animal sanctuary where I work as I had been quarantining multiple new intakes from an abuse case. I still have two males (Rum Tum Tugger and Electra) left in my home enclosure as we are getting them neutered and then hopefully sending them to an AZA accredited zoo.

I wanna make things very clear that underneath all the whimsy, I am a trained professional.

I mean this in the nicest possible way but you’re the sort of person that can normally be found only on reddit
