Rael Toffolo
A composer from São Paulo based in Curitiba-PR, he is an adjunct professor in the Department of Popular Music at the State University of Paraná - Campus Curitiba II (Unespar), and a collaborating professor in the Postgraduate Program in Music at the State University of Maringá (UEM). He was the creator and conductor of the Maringá State University Chamber Orchestra from 2009 to 2023. He holds a PhD in Music from UNESP, with research into musical composition and real-time electroacoustic music. As a composer, he creates acoustic, electroacoustic, audiovisual, installation, and stage music works, which have won prizes in various national and international competitions. As a researcher, he dedicates himself to Musical Cognition and its correlations with Interactive Art. He was Municipal Secretary for Culture in Maringá and Director of Culture at UEM. He is the coordinator of GRITARIA: GRupo de estudos InTerdisciplinar de ARte InterativA (CNPq) and a member of the Laboratório de Pesquisa e Produção Sonora - LAPPSO (CNPq).
