if the “it was helena” people were acknowledging the season long arc that hellyna are two side of the same coin, that the lines are blurring, that helly has a huge finale moment of acceptance saying “I’m her”, that Mark not clocking it was Helena was so, so important to showing that as hard as she might’ve tried in the beginning- helly is more alike and intrinsically connected to this woman than I think I would be less irritated.
no, what’s pissing me off is the discourse is pretty much boiled down to “helly was so cruel and whenever helly is a ‘bitch’ it must be Helena!!!!” (she says absolutely nothing in that scene) and the notion that mark s not dying for his outie and helly not encouraging him to die for his outie after she literally says “they gave us half a life and think we won’t fight for it” is her being cruel. i’m just baffled.
